"The Greenhouse Classroom will serve as a year-round science space where children can have hands-on learning experiences with botany, organic gardening practices, and the energy cycle (from photosynthesis to plant decomposition.) Teachers will have the space they need to try new curricula such as seed development, soil temperature investigations, and transplanting vs. starting plants from seeds."

Supporting the Quaker testimony of stewardship, the new Greenhouse and Rooftop Garden will allow students to experience hands-on environmental education and sustainability. The Greenhouse will have an easily accessed water source and its roof-top location will provide ample sunlight.
