Financial Aid at Friends:

Supporting a Diverse and Inclusive Community

The Friends financial aid budget has grown significantly over the last 10+ years. Forty-two percent of the Friends Seminary endowment is restricted to Financial Aid. Click here for a list of endowed funds, which support a diverse and talented student body. If you would like to discuss how to give to the Friends endowment, please contact Susan Wilen, Capital Campaign Director.

Hugo Torres-Fetsco ’11 (Colgate University ’15)

“I started at Friends when I was in Kindergarten and am what is referred to as a ‘lifer’. Thirteen years at this fantastic school have no doubt shaped every bit of me. I grew up in West Harlem to a single mother who had four children. For me, and for my younger sister who started Kindergarten two years after me, this experience has been incredible and I don’t let a day go by in which I am not  grateful for all Friends has given me. I want to be someone who is heavily involved in the community and gives back. I want to mentor and support those around me — something Friends Seminary has taught me through its Quaker education.”
